Discover the multicultural history of Prague with us!

Discover the history of multicultural Prague with our interactive online map. Memorials, writers, historians, artists and anthropologists will show you through texts, archival and artistic photographs and short videos the places where not only the “great” history was written, but also where the everyday lives of Prague’s men and women took place. You will learn how locals, immigrants and refugees identified themselves linguistically, ethnically or religiously, where their associations and cultural institutions were located, and how World War II and the Holocaust affected their coexistence. We will take you to cafes, cinemas, churches and synagogues, houses and show you how these places have changed in the course of time.
